Services

Services at /platform/services are the menu items clients see on your storefront and the line items that flow through the POS. Get this right and the rest of the platform configures itself.

Services page

  • Name — what the client sees (“Cut and blow-dry”, “Full head colour”)
  • Category — you create your own categories (Hair, Colour, Gel Nails, Massage…) with + Category. Used to group services on the storefront.
  • Duration — in minutes
  • Processing time — optional gap inside the service when the practitioner can be elsewhere (e.g. colour developing)
  • Price — in rand
  • Patch test required — flag for chemical services
  • Online booking — toggle off for services that need a phone consult first
  1. /platform/services → tap + Service.
  2. Fill in name, category, duration, price.
  3. (Optional) tick Requires patch test or untick Online booking.
  4. Tap Add service. It shows on your storefront immediately if Online booking is on.

Tap + Category above the service list. Name it (“Hair Colour”, “Gel Nails”, “Massage”) and pick a colour for the dot on each card. You can create as many or as few as fit your business.

Service-to-practitioner skills are set on the Team page, not here. Open Team → tap Services next to a practitioner → tick the services they can perform. The booking flow only offers practitioners who have a service ticked.

For services that release the chair mid-way (a colour with processing time), tap Recipe on a service to break it into phases. Each phase claims a resource (chair, basin, treatment room, nail station, or no resource at all for passive processing). The booking board then shows the client’s journey across multiple lanes in Resources view — see The board.

A service you don’t want on the storefront any more? Tap Deactivate beside it. The service stays in history (past bookings still reference it) but disappears from the menu and the booking flow. Reactivate any time.
