First-time setup

When you first log in, Chairtime shows you a setup checklist on the today view. You can come back to it any time from /platform. Work through it in this order — each step unlocks the next.

The checklist

1. Brand your salon. Salon name, logo, colours, contact, address. This is what clients see on your storefront, confirmation emails, and invoices.

2. Add your services. Cut, colour, treatment, manicure — whatever you offer. Each service has a duration + a price + (optionally) which stylists can perform it.

3. Add your stations. A station is a physical chair, basin, or treatment bed. The day board shows one column per station.

4. Add your team. Even if it’s just you — add yourself as the owner-stylist so the board knows who’s working.

5. Set your hours. When is the salon open? Per-stylist hours override this when needed (Saturday only? early-bird Tuesdays? Both work.)

6. (Optional) Switch on online payments. Take card / EFT through PayFast. This unlocks deposit-on-booking — no more no-shows for premium services.

Don't try to be perfect

You can edit anything later. Get the minimum in (one service, one station, one stylist, one set of hours) and take your first booking — then refine as you go.
